Sunday Light Trivia: So, which NDA Squadron sent the most officers to the Indian Air Force between 1949 and 2004?

Of the roughly 4700 I analyzed between NDA course numbers 1 to 106 – Alpha wins it! With Foxtrot a close number two! (1/3)

This number includes some names where a cadet could not be commissioned due to injury/ accident etc. at AFFC/AFA & some data gaps. Also, the sqns were formed progressively and nomenclature changed over time ( e.g. In 1960 E Sqn became H, K became D, H became G) 2/

How did I get these figures? Took the list of NDA passouts from the NDA website. Mapped the names with the list of commissioned officers from the gazette of India. This was tough – NDA numbers and Service numbers do not speak to each other. Eyeball each name and link it! 3/3
